For this week’s celebration report, we are thrilled to shine a light on a standout group of students at Charleston Bilingual Academy who embody the spirit of leadership and service —our Safety Patrol Team! These remarkable 5th to 8th graders are truly leading by example and making a positive impact in our school community!
Introducing Our Safety Patrol Superstars!
Our Safety Patrol Team members are more than just safety monitors; they are the heartbeat of our morning and afternoon carpool. Dressed in their distinctive bright yellow vests, they ensure that our carpool lanes run smoothly and safely. With their smiles and cheerful greetings, they help create a welcoming environment for all. This is a very important service indeed!
What Makes the Safety Patrol So Special
Throughout a student’s years at CBA, students have the opportunity to grow in their leadership skills in a variety of ways. Safety Patrol serves as a catalyst to :
- Leadership Development: By joining the Safety Patrol, students step into a role that enhances their leadership skills, making them confident communicators and courageous leaders.
- Community Service with a Smile: These dedicated students contribute significantly to our school community, ensuring the safety and well-being of their peers.
- Personal Growth and Responsibility: Through the application process and their daily duties, students learn responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of serving others.
Every 5th to 8th grader has the opportunity to apply for the Safety Patrol Team, and we encourage all interested students to get involved. Applications are completed both on paper and online, with parental cooperation.

Be sure to keep an eye out for our Safety Patrol members and give a warm wave or say thank them for their service! You’ll recognize them by their bright yellow vests, their warm smiles, and their enthusiastic greetings as they assist with drop off and pick up each morning and afternoon. The dedication and hard work of these safety champions is truly inspiring!
