Thank you so much to all the families, who contributed to the mission led by Maestro Alberto Brooks and FBC in Honduras in June.

Members from the Honduras congregations that Mr. Brooks started worked alongside Maestras Maribel Carreon and Susana Schull, as well as Pastors John Lane, Luis Carreon, and the Carreon CBA students,  conducting activities for the children in the villages.

The children had fun and received gifts of food, clothing, and other essentials.

Updates from the Field

The congregation, that Mr. Brooks founded, purchased a piece of land for a youth center. The youth of the village, with some adult help, prepared the land and made adobe bricks by hand to build the youth center. Thanks to the contributions, the congregation was also able to buy a roof for the youth center and the children received gifts of food and other necessities. They will now have a place to for their after-school Bible Club, get help with their homework and tutoring. The vision is that eventually trades will be taught there as well.

See the photos below of the youth group and youth center before & after the roof.

Mr. Brooks introduces
Child Sponsorship Program in Honduras

Dear Families,

Mr. Brooks is introducing and asking for your prayers for this growing project.

You can sponsor a child for $25/month.

  • 50% of these funds will be used to provide food for our after school Bible club
  • 50% of these funds will be used to provide monthly provisions such as school supplies, personal utensils, and rice and beans. The quantities are small but significant.

Mr. Brooks’ hope is to be able to sponsor 50+ children. Your contributions would give us the opportunity to provide training in trades such as electricity, computing, and baking. This training would help equip children with life and work skills.

Stay tuned for how you can join in this project!
